A 2020 trend that we are thoroughly supporting, the pink kitchen has evolved from being a brave choice, to now a necessary choice.
We have installed many a kitchen in a space with glorious pink painted walls, but we are now seeing more and more pink kitchens cabinets come through manufacturing.
Whether its a contemporary flat panel kitchen using pink as a pop of colour in what would be a minimalist white room or a pale pink shaker kitchen injecting plenty of personality and calm to a traditional country kitchen.
There is no better pair than a solid wood kitchen painted in a beautiful shade of pink.
Here we show you how we made pink work in our bespoke kitchens…
Farrow & Ball – Sulking Room Pink
If you’ve searched for the best pink paints around, you can’t have got far without finding Sulking Room Pink.
Paired here with Farrow & Ball Breakfast Room Green and exposed edge plywood cabinetry, the pink brings a pop of colour into an open plan lounge dining area with plenty of white and light.
Our Honest Kitchens range of plywood kitchens shows the beautiful layers of birch plywood that we use for all of our carcasses with painted cabinet doors. There is no better combination than pink and plywood.
Paint & Paper Library – Plum Brandy
Pink-ish? Described as ‘rich, regal and mysterious giving an instant feeling of luxury’. This colour from Paint and Paper Library can look totally different in different lights. We shot this kitchen just before summer so had the benefit of lots of natural light making the colour appear much brighter and pinkier.
Used in a minimalist room as a pop of colour where the client had lots of greys throughout the home and was feeling brave, and what a good decision. The space looks luxurious yet trendy on our bespoke flat panel design.
Farrow & Ball – Setting Plaster
A dusty plaster pink in admiration of a newly plastered wall. Seen here on our in-frame flat panel kitchen paired with skimming stone walls and vibrant wall tiles. The pink kitchen sits perfectly in a vibrant home filled with quirky colours and features.
Also a beautiful shade to use for a pink shaker kitchen, seen below adding elegance to a traditional country home for a beautiful calming space.
And if you ever (we are betting our life you don’t) fall out of love with your colour choice, the beauty of our solid wood kitchens are that they are handpainted meaning you can change colour whenever you wish!
