Concrete Worktop Alternative for Low-Maintenance Cleaning

Concrete has become a popular kitchen material for those wanting to achieve an industrial aesthetic in their home.

We constantly get queries about concrete worktops, with lots of people asking whether we can supply them on their own (we can’t) or if we can fix them (sadly, no). Although concrete is visually a fantastic material, its biggest downfall is how prone it is to stains and water damage if not properly maintained. When completing our concrete worktop test, we were surprised to see the effects that common kitchen ingredients like lemon juice and ketchup can have on concrete.

You might be up for the challenge and willing to commit to the maintenance of concrete worktops, but if you’re looking for something more manageable we recommend Arenastone Concreto.

What is Arenastone Concreto?

Made from naturally occurring quartz and resin, Concreto is a non-porous, low-maintenance material which is extremely versatile.

It is designed to replicate the appearance of concrete without the everyday upkeep and potential damages.

Arenastone Concreto Benefits

Concreto comes in a selection of colours: Biscotti and Grigio.

This engineered quartz has many benefits, including:

  • easy to maintain
  • resists permanent staining
  • heat resistant (not heat proof)
  • scratch resistant (not scratch-proof)

To clean it you can use a damp cloth or paper towel with mild soap, never chemicals or solvents.
